My First LOLCat Attempt

So, this may not even be funny to people not from my area, but I definitely see these ads on TV for J.G. Wentworth that really annoy me. So, this is my homage to those commercials.

Monday’s almost over at work for me, folks, and it feels like centuries till the next weekend comes. There’s so much I wanted to do this weekend, but put off for another day, because I just wanted to recover and relax this past weekend.

Did I mention Grad School is hard? Holy crap. That’s all I’ll say for now.

And So It Begins… 12 Days of Fun

So, Monday began the time of year where we work 12 days straight, right on through the weekend, because first student workers come back and we train them, and then the regular students move back to campus for Fall semester. The good thing is, we also earn a lot of comp time. Working 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on a weekend (which usually ends up being ’till 7:30pm) at time and a half is a lot of extra hours, about 30 to be exact. With 30 extra hours, you can totally go on vacation - and that’s exactly what I plan to do as soon as I can.

Kylara leaves in 5 or 6 days. I’m certainly not happy about it. We’ve been trying to make the most out of what time we have left before she moves away. I know she’ll do well at whatever she does - I just wish it could have been with me.

So Cute, Your Head ‘Asplode.

It’s Wednesday, which means it’s “Hump Day” (Five people in your immediate vacinity are pregnant already! I kid, I kid.) and you’re probably pining for the weekend. Usually by Wednesday you’ve heard at least one person say “Why can’t we work two days a week and have weekends for five days a week?” or “Man, I can’t wait until Friday,” or “It’s five o’clock somewhere,” or “Would you please stop touching me there? It’s inappropriate.”

Tired, Sleepy, LOLCat-y.

I’m not sure why I’m so tired, but I do know that I went through half the night in a very light state of sleep. I woke up around 3am and the TV and light were still on. I went and shut those off and I slept slightly better for the next 4 hours before I had to get up.

Also, this morning I’m with one other person on the phones at the help desk, and they and I both keep running into calls that last 25-30 minutes each. It’s really crazy. I’m hungry - I want to go to lunch in like the next fifteen minutes but we just don’t have any coverage right now.
